Description
The Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI), part of the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA), works with civilian sites throughout the United States to secure and protect nuclear and radiological materials from improper or malicious use. Its work is vital to combating radiological and nuclear terrorism. A "first line of defense" program, GTRI has secured millions of sources throughout the U.S. The following is an overview of its domestic security program
