Results of radiation therapy for the cervical esophageal cancer

Description
We reported results of radiotherapy for the cervical esophageal cancer. Between 1971 and 1994, 46 patients with the cervical esophageal cancer were registered at the Department of Radiology, National Sapporo Hospital. Fourteen patients were treated by radiotherapy with radical intent. Actuarial survival rates for the 14 patients at 2 and 5 years after initial treatment were 41.7% and 16.7% respectively. We discussed treatment policy for the cervical esophageal cancer. (author)
