Peculiarities of electron heating in the two-stage beam-plasma system

Description
The space regions of plasma formation and heating are separated by pressure gradient in the two-stage beam-plasma system. Two regimes of low hybrid high-frequency oscillation excitation are found. The spatial location of the region, where the maximum high-frequency field generation occurs, and the beam relaxation degree are different for these regimes. It is shown that the maximum heating of electrons corresponds to relatively small losses of the beam energy and wide spectra generation of electron low-hybrid oscillations of high amplitude. The electron heating is connected with the stochastic mechanism
