Recent prospects of MOX fuel and strategy about nuclear fuel cycle

Preliminary strategy about nuclear fuel cycle for different countries under different nuclear power development conditions is clearly described. It is also stressed on the basic situation of the design technology, manufacture technology and quantitative economic analysis for MOX fuel application since fast breed reactor commercialization has been delayed and specially proposed that in a short term China should adopt a intermediate storage strategy matched with the construction of a pilot reprocess plant to prepare the technical basis for commercialized reprocess plant later on and to follow the development of MOX fuel technology
