Mammographic findings after breast-conserving surgery

Clinical evaluation of the breast after breast-conserving surgery and postoperative irradiation for carcinoma is made difficult by the changes induced by the treatment. Therefore mammographic evaluation comprises an important part of the follow-up of these patients. The interpretation of the mammograms requires knowledge of the changes expected to occur after treatment.
