The nuke dump NIMBY game: Why Nebraska was targeted

This article discusses why the nuclear waste generators are looking for storage sites remote from the site of generation. The authors charge that generators of waste look for areas of low opposition to site nuclear waste storage facilities aided by government policies of political coercion to develop sites. The article describes how the political climate of Nebraska has placed it in the lead for the next nuclear waste facility
