Exotic superconducting state embedded in the hidden order phase of heavy fermion URu2Si2
- 1. Kyoto Univ., Graduate School of Science, Kyoto (Japan)
Description
The coexistence of superconductivity with other ordered phases is an old but still fascinating issue. In heavy-Fermion compound URu2Si2 (Tc=1.45 K), the superconducting state is embedded within the so-called 'hidden order' phase. Here, we report charge and thermal transport measurements on ultraclean single crystals of URu2Si2 down to 30 mK (Tc/50), which reveal a number of unprecedented superconducting properties. We also provide strong evidence for a new type of unconventional superconductivity with two distinct gaps having different nodal topology. (author)
