Description

To specify the stratification curve of two liquid phases, electric conductivity of melts of the indium-tellurium system depending on temperature is measured. The measurements are performed for alloys the component ratio in which corresponds to the range of nonmiscibility of tWo liquid phases Results of roentgenographic investigation prove that stratifying liquid alloy of:the Insub(0.85)Tesub(0.15) composition is characterized by a complex microinhomogeneous structure in a wide temperaturr range. Temperature increase from 705 to 925 K destructs the complex quasieutectic structure and promotes the formation of microregions with the mean statistic distributions of atoms. The data obtained prove that pure tellurium can not be one of qUasieutectics component In chemical compositions InTe and In2Te3 melting congruently, the possibility of affecting the short-range order of melts in the stratification range is higher in InTe, which agrees with the type of phase equilibrium diagram
