Use Of Gastrointestinal Stents In Palliation
Description
Stent or endo prosthesis is a tube, which is inserted into a natural conduit of the body to prevent or counteract a disease-induced localized flow constriction. Stents are used like a standard therapy in angiology, cardio surgery, urology, pneumology and gastroenterology. In gastroenterology are used mostly in palliation. (author)
