An approach to the use of Am-Be neutron sources in pulsed neutron logging
Description
Neutron emission from an Am-Be neutron source can be treated as a process with a time interval between two neutrons. In a medium, according to the neutron field theory, different types of nuclear reactions between the source neutrons and the medium nuclei appear which results in a specific time interval distribution. By determining the distribution, the information on the medium can be obtained. Experimental principles and apparatus are discussed
