Numerical simulation of L.E.L. in Compton regime. Part 1, MAE Code 1 D 1/2, BIWI Two-dimensional axisymmetric code
Description
The physics of the Free Electron Laser (L.E.L) is commonly modeled by a K.M.R. type approach, whose efficiency has been widely proven. These models are particularly well adapted to the operation of L.E.L in Compton regime, that is to say when one can neglect Coulomb interaction between electrons. In the first part, the main hypotheses of the KMR standard model are presented, and it is then shown how, in successive stages, it is possible to get rid of some of them, at the cost of a greater complexity of the systems to be solved, but in favor of a greater level of physics taken into account. At each step an appropriate numerical model is performed. The results obtained are then compared, resulting in refining the understanding of the physics of L.E.L, while highlighting the limits of each model
Abstract (French)
(auteur)Files
