Magnetic resonance imaging of clots in the heart and vascular system

Description

It is reported on 10 patients in which intracardiac and intra-vascular thrombi could be diagnosed reliably using ECG-gated MR tomography non invasively and without contrast media. Second-echo-imaging and digital subtraction of the second echo from the first one can help to identify free bloodflow from intravascular clots
