Facilities for the Investigation of Concrete Waste
Description
Automatic translation: The KFA Jülich was commissioned to characterize barrels containing concrete waste. For this purpose, non-destructive methods such as gamma spectrometry and computer tomography were used, and drill samples were taken for further analysis. The composition of the filling gas was determined using mass spectrometry. Mainly Co 60, small amounts of Cs 137 and traces of plutonium were detected.

Die KFA Jülich erhielt den Auftrag, Fässer mit betoniertem Abfall zu charakterisieren. Hierzu wurden sowohl zerstörungsfreie Methoden wie Gammaspektrometrie und Computertomographie eingesetzt als auch Bohrproben für die weitere Analyse entnommen. Die Zusammensetzung des Füllgases wurde massenspektrometrisch bestimmt. Festgestellt wurden vornehmlich Co 60, geringe Mengen Cs 137 und Spuren von Plutonium.Files
