Sum-rule strengths of low-lying 4+ levels in 74-82Se nuclei
- 1. Kyoto Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
The low-lying spectra of the even 74-82Se nuclei up to Esub(x) = 5.0 MeV were investigated with inelastic proton scattering at Esub(p) = 64.8 MeV. Several 4+ states in sup(74,78,80,82)Se were found at 2.0 < Esub(x) < 5.0 MeV, while in 76Se more than ten states were observed at the same energy region. The energy weighted sum rule fraction of the 4+ states increases with decreasing neutron number from 82Se (1.0 %) up to 76Se (3.7 %), and then decreases. A self-consistent RPA calculation reproduces the excitation energies and transition strengths of the 4+ states observed in the present experiment. (author)
