Control and safety rod position measurement and display system for PFBR

Description
This instrument is designed to measure and display the position of the control and safety rod of PFBR. The position of the control rod is measured with a synchro control transmitter, converted into digital value by a Synchro to Digital Converter and displayed in a 5 Digit LED display panel after scaling and engineering unit conversion. The position of the control rod is displayed in millimeter with a resolution of 0.1 mm with a total traverse of 1280 mm. The design principles functional block diagram and prototype testing are discussed
