Zentrales Thema der Technischen Akustik ist der Schall. Neben der ausserordentlich grossen Bedeutung, die dem Schall als wichtigstem Informationstraeger zwischenmenschlicher Kommunikation zukommt, kann er - tritt er als Laerm auf - auch als stoerend und laestig empfunden werden. Eine unverzichtbare Hilfe im Kampf gegen den Laerm bietet nicht zuletzt die akustische Messtechnik, denn nur durch sie kann objektiv erfasst werden, wie wirksam die eine oder andere Schall- bzw. Laermschutzmassnahme tatsaechlich ist. Das Buch gibt konkrete Antworten auf aktuelle Fragen aus der Praxis und es wendet sich gleichermassen an Studierende wie auch an Fachleute, die beruflich mit Problemen der Technischen Akustik zu tun haben.
