CEBAF endstation C status and experimental program
Creators
Description
Endstation C is designed to carry out a broad-range of nuclear and particle physics experiments with CW electron beams up to 4 GeV. The primary instrumentation, two large magnetic spectrometers called the High Momentum Spectrometer(HMS) and the Short Orbit Spectrometer (SOS), will be capable of coincidence operations at luminosities of 1038. The commissioning phase began in July 1994 while limited operations for physics started in December 1994. An overview will be presented of the proposed experimental program, endstation facilities, progress in commissioning, and commissioning data indicating
