Description

The Ki (i=α1, α2, β1, β2) and Li (i=α, β, β1, β2, γ) X-rays fluorescence cross-sections, X-rays intensity ratios and the average L shell fluorescence yields of Iodine in different compounds were measured by a high-resolution Si(Li) X-ray detector (FWHM=155 eV at 5.9 keV) at 59.543 keV. X-rays emitted from the samples were analyzed by using Microcal Origin 7.5 Demo Version software program. The experimental results were compared with the calculated theoretical values for the elemental Iodine. - Highlights: • Chemical effect on K and L-X-ray of Iodine compounds. • Fluorescence cross-sections, X-ray intensity ratios, L shell fluorescence yields. • At 59.543 keV exciting energy. • Results were compared with theoretical values. • Changes according to the pure element
