Description
The vaporization characteristic and the vapor evaluation process of metallic targets irradiated by pulse laser beams were investigated by high speed Schlieren diagnostic technique. The temperature of condensed phase transition, the front velocity of vapor plume and velocity of precursor shock wave in air of LY12 aluminum targets were measured experimentally with different incident laser flux, and the temperature on the surface of condensed phase transition as a function of incident laser flux was obtained by approximate analysis vaporization model
