Description
A process is described for the conversion of glycerol to lower oxygenated hydrocarbons which comprises reacting glycerol, carbon monoxide and hydrogen in a basic organic solvent medium in contact with a soluble catalyst composition containing tungsten and group VIII metal components, to yield a product mixture comprising propanediols
