Predicting the Performance of Regenerable, Vapor Phase, Activated Carbon System

Description

Defining the optimum operating conditions and selecting the most appropriate activated carbon product are critical factors toward the technical and economic success of regenerable, vapor phase, activated carbon systems. It is therefore imperative that scientists and engineers possess predictive computer models to simulate these processes. To meet this need, a comprehensive computer model, called the VaporAds Dynamic Model, has been developed to predict the performance of regenerable, vapor phase, activated carbon systems consisting of adsorption, desorption, and cooling cycles, e.g. solvent recovery systems. This paper provides a description of the VaporAds Dynamic Model.
