Generation of a magnetic barrier around a type 1 cometary tail
Description
It is shown that at the boundary of a cometary tail, where a velocity shear must exist, a magnetic-field component parallel to the velocity is generated. This leads to the formation of magnetic barrier, i. e. of a region of field enhancement
