Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging and related topics
Description
The up-to-date techniques of magnetic resonance imaging and related phenomena are reviewed. Magnetic resonance phenomena observed in static homogeneous magnetic fields, in magnetic field gradients and under radiofrequency irradiation are summarized. A theory of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imagering and is presented typical applications of these techniques in medicine are given. Finally, the instrumentation for NMR imaging systems such as magnets, coils, NMR spectrometers, transmitter/receiver systems, digital controllers, computer algorithms, and image displays are described.
