An entropy based method for computing software structural complexity

Description

A new method for computing software structural complexity based on the entropy evaluation of the random uniform response function associated with the so-called software characteristic function is proposed. The functions, parameters and algorithms to perform this computation are introduced and some applications are given. This complexity metric allows to compare different designs and were used successfully in the assessment of safety critical redundant software
