Development and study of selective membrane electrodes

Description
Ion-selective membrane electrodes for cadmium have been prepared by crystallizing melts of cadmium and silver chalcogenides after annealing. Electrodes sensitive to zinc ions have also been manufactured and their electrode characteristics studied. They have been found unstable with time because of changes in the surface properties. Membrane compositions are: Ag2S-CdSe, Ag2S-CdTe, Ag2S-CdS
