Description
A Westinghouse digital microprocessor-based system is to be installed for primary protection at the Sizewell-B PWR. The Sizewell-B plant will include the Integrated Protection System (IPS) and the Integrated Logic System (ILS), the two most important sub-systems of the Westinghouse Integrated Protection and Control Systems (IPCS). The system has been adapted from the American design in order to meet British standards. It provides automatic system monitoring and self-testing with four redundant trains. (U.K.)
