Experimental investigation of interchannel mass transfer processes in two-phase flows on a fuel element model

Description

The results of experimental study of interchannel mass exchange processes in the model simulating the rod bundle cell are presented. The model consists of two parallel channels - tubes with the internal diameter of 17 mm having the slits along their length 6 mm in width, which enable the channels to be connected with each other. One of the tubes may be rotated round its axe for the slit width to be varied. The study of the phase distribution in the channels whether the slit is open or closed were carried out by the isokinetic sampling method at the pressure of 4.9 MPa and flow mass velocity of 100 kg/(m2s). 5 refs.; 6 figs.; 1 tab
