Theoretical study for neutral beam injection heating

  • 1. Academia Sinica, Hefei, AH (China). Inst. of Plasma Physics

Description

The neutral beam injection (NBI) heating experiment on HT-6M Tokamak was studied with the two-dimension (in velocity space), time-dependent, non-linear and multispecies Fokker-Planck Equation. The temporal evolution of ion distribution function and relevant parameters were calculated and compared with experimental data. The calculation shows that the ion temperature increases, high energy platform (5-10 keV) and anisotropy appear when the neutral beam was injected into plasma, which shows satisfactory agreement with available experimental data
