Description

No data at all exist for spin observables of the associated production reactions pp→pK+Y, from threshold up to 2.9 GeV.This energy domain is covered by the Saturne accelerator. The study of spin observables in strangeness production at Saturne will be done designing an exclusive experiment. The authors need a magnetic analysis of the reaction products and plan to identify the strangeness production reaction through the vertex cut method. The detectors chosen are described. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed magnet and detector system, they have carried out Monte Carlo simulations of the reactions of interest with the code GEANT
