Estimation of corrosion crack resistance of steels in testing at constant strain rate

  • 1. Kazakhskij Khimiko-Tekhnologicheskij Inst., Chimkent (USSR)

Description

Testings related to the estimation of the strain rate effect on austenite corrosion-resistant 12Kh18N12M3TL, 08Kh18N10T and 05Kh18AN5FL steel tendency to corrosion cracking (CC) are conducted. 42 % solution of chloride magnesium (154 deg C) as a standard reagent for accelerated testings for tendency to CC, is used as corrosion medium. It is shown that all the steels considered are tended to CC in a boiling 42 % solution of MgCl2
