Radiation ionic polymerization at low temperatures. Ethylene oxide in glassy matrix of butyl chloride

Description
Radiation ionic polymerization of ethylene oxide (EO) is carried out. Potymerization proceeds under softening of gtassy γ-radiotysis treated solution of epsilon O in buthyl chloride at 77 K. An integral yield of the polymer sharply increases with decrease in the initial concentration of epsilon O in the solution. Evidences of cation mechanism of the chain growth are obtained
