Scattering asymmetry of atoms of helicopter polarization: manifestation of slip effect
Creators
Description
Consideration is given to semiclassical method for calculation of right and left scattering asymmetry of atoms with nonzero angular momentum on structureless atom under initial helicopter polarization (atom is oriented perpendicularly to collision plane). Scattering asymmetry under such conditions is caused by the so-called slip effect, when the electron momentum follows partially the axis of quasimolecule after formation of quasimolecular states. General expressions for asymmetry of differential cross sections and slip probability were derived for scattering of atoms in p-state
