NN-interaction and the quark-model in the frame of the Resonating Group Method
Description
Since the fundamental theory of the strong interaction(QCD) can still not be applied on problems of nuclear physics, one is forced to get contact with the quark structure of matter by using models. In their calculations, they used the nonrelativistic quark model. The authors discuss how this nonrelativistic potential model is very successful in explaining the hadron spectra. In this paper, they describe how, in the frame of the Resonating Group Method, it can also be used for two nucleon problems. These problems are: what influences the quark and gluon exchange between nucleons the NN interaction? and the short range part of the One Boson Exchange Model be modified by the quark model so that some problems in the boson exchange picture vanish?
