Description

A pilot survey of indoor radon and thoron progeny concentration was carried out in 5 villages in high background radiation area (HBRA) of Yangjiang, China. Totally 26 mud houses and 29 brick houses in HBRA were investigated. The average EECRn and EECTn were 57.1 Bq·m-3 and 12.6 Bq·m-3 for mud houses, while 41.8 Bq·m-3 and 4.7 Bq·m-3 for brick houses. Both radon and thoron exhalation rate from mud wall and brick wall surface were also measured. (authors)
