Surface modification research of key component in lower supporting structure of special equipment

Description
Lower Supporting Structure which contained one high speed friction pairs is used to undertake physical contact and friction of long-term normal or in normal operation parts and components in some kind of special equipment. To improve the hardness and wear resistance of end surface of axle shaft in these high speed friction pairs which contacted with the other part in these friction pairs, this paper studied the performance of surface modification research of the steel axle shaft. By Physical Vapor Deposition, Nitride and Carbide films are deposited on the surface of steel regular shape samples. Thickness, nano-indentation hardness, adhesion strength and wear-resistance performance of these films are tested by Nano/Micro-Mechanics property testing instruments. According to this research we found that surface modification could be used on the surface of steel axle shaft by adjusting and optimizing the experiment operating parameters. (author)
