Crystal reorientation in α-zirconium under deformation

Description

X-ray diffraction methods for analysing cristallite reorientation under deformation, which consist in plotting subtraction diagrams, texture maximum movement trajectories and tangents to similar polar density contours, are proposed. Efficiency of subtraction diagram plotting method application under separation of slipping and twinning contributions into α-zirconium plastic deformation is demonstrated. Peculiarities of cristallite reorientation, revealed with the help of texture maximum movement trajectories and tangents to similar polar density contours, point out to the active participation of basic slipping in α-zirconium rolling texture formation
