Leaching of trace metals resulting from the simulated operation of a Maryland coal-slurry pipeline
Description
The objectives of the present effort were: (1) to design, construct, and validate a laboratory system for simulating the leaching of metals from coal during slurry transport in a pipeline, (2) to use the system to evaluate the effects of variables potentially affecting leachate quality, and (3) to recommend an experimental protocol for evaluating specific coal slurry pipeline proposals
