High purification of inorganic halides

Description
A liquid-vapor equilibrium in Nb(Ta)Cl5-TiCl4 systems is studied. It is found that these systems have a noticeable positive deviation from ideality under normal pressure on the part of pure titanium tetrachloride. It is shown that relative volatility in the studied systems is high enough for efficient separation and high purification of their components by the rectification method
