Pressure dependence of the low temperature magnetic susceptibility of TmAl3

Description
The hydrostatic pressure dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, chisub(m), at 4.2K is reported for the singlet ground state system, TmAl3. The results, (1/chisub(m)(d chisub(m)(/dP) approximately -6x10-3(kbar-1, are discussed in terms of the crystal field parameters derived from independent neutron studies. (Auth.)
