Swift heavy ion induced modifications in the electrical and dielectric properties of BiFeO3 and NdMnO3 films

  • 1. Department of Nanoscience and Advanced Materials, Saurashtra University, Rajkot (India)

Description

In this talk, the results of the recent studies on the structural, transport and dielectric properties of 200 MeV Ag+15 Swift Heavy Ion (SHI) irradiated BiFeO3 (BFO) and NdMnO3 (NMO) pervoskite structured films grown Nb - doped SrTiO3 (SNTO) and (LaAIO3)0.3 (Sr2AITaO6)0.7 (LSAT) substrates are presented. The dielectric relaxation peaks are observed in the frequency dependent dielectric loss spectra. Cole-Cole model is used to explain the dielectric relaxation mechanism in the NMO films irradiated at various ion fluences. The frequency-dependent conductivity spectra obey the power law for all the irradiated NdMnO3 films
