Description
Lateral loading tests on the shear walls were carried out with test-parameters as compressive strength of concrete and reinforcements of the shear wall. The shear cracking strength tended to increases at the strength levels of concrete from Fc=270 kg/cm2 to 380 kg/cm2, but did not here an apparent increase at the strength levels of Fc from 380 kg/cm2 to 590 kg/cm2. The maximum shear strength increased as Fc increased, while the rate of increase of the maximum load was small as Fc increased. As for the effect of reinforcement in the shear wall, with increase of Pw from 1.2 to 2.0%, the maximum shear strength increased when Fc=380 kg/cm2 and 590 kg/cm2, but did not changed when Fc=270 kg/cm2. The property of shear deflection was not affected very much by compressive strength of concrete and reinforcements of shear wall. (orig./HP)
