Scandium effect on solubility and activity of carbon in liquid iron
Creators
Description
Experimental measurement of carbon solubility in liquid iron at 1773 K in scandium presence showed, that it increased with elevation of scandium content. Carbon and scandium activities in Fe-Sc-C ternary system were calculated. Elevation of scandium content decreases scandium activity at fixed content of scandium in the alloy. Increase of scandium in alloy with constant carbon content results to decrease of activity of the last one
