Approximate φ2n kinks from integrated instantons

Description
The purpose of this letter is to demonstrate that the recently introduced technique for obtaining approximate topological kinks, from integrated higher dimensional instantons, can be applied to φ 2n field theory with good results. Explicit formulae are given for the energy minimising instanton scale and the energy of the approximate kink. It is found that, for the best choice of instanton dimension, an approximate kink is generated for which the excess energy above the topological lower bound is typically less than 0.01%. ((orig.))
