Application of sequential analysis to measurements of media properties by neutron-neutron method

Application possibility of subsequent analysis is described for determination of variations in properties of soil by neutron-neutron logging. It is suggested to process the results of logging with the use of the Wald statistical criterion, which makes it possible to simultaneously introduce the probabilities of mistakes of the first (false alarm) and second kinds (missing of a signal) and to obtain results in a time which is on the average shorter than in using the classical criterion. An actual example is used to show that the reliability of the measurements is 0.999
