Features of structural state of iron in glass produced by electron beam
Description
The possibility of glass synthesis in a beam of accelerated electrons and influence of the synthesis conditions on iron structural states were investigated. The study of Fe structural state was carried out for glasses of system Na2O-CaO-FeO (Fe2O3)-Al2O3-SiO2 with iron content from 5 to 25 mol.%. It is shown that the method of glass synthesis in a beam of accelerated electrons permitted manufacturing glasses of qualitatively other structure and phase composition, and also more homogeneous as to iron structural state as compared with conventional methods of synthesis
