Description
The monograph deals with the fundamentals of optical and infrared detection in terms of the behavior of the radiation field, the physical properties of the detector and the statistical behavior of the detector output. Both coherent and incoherent detection are treated in a unified manner, after which selected applications are analyzed, following an analysis of atmospheric effects and signal statistics. (WL) 891 WL

Die Monographie behandelt die Grundlagen der optischen und Infrarotmessung im Hinblick auf das Verhalten des Strahlenfeldes, die physikalischen Eigenschaften des Detektors und das statistische Verhalten des Detektorausgangs. Kohaerente und inkohaerente Messungen wurden auf einheitliche Weise behandelt. Im Anschluss an eine Analyse von atmosphaerischen Effekten und Signalstatisktik werden ausgewaehlte Anwendungsbeispiele analysiert. (WL)Additional details
