Cross sections for 51V(n,p)51Ti and 51V(n,α)48Sc at 14.2 MeV
Description
Reaction cross-section measurements for 51V(n,p)51Ti and 51V(n,α)48Sc have yielded the values of 32.3+-2.6 mb and 18.1+-1.5 mb, respectively, at a neutron energy of 14.2+-0.2 MeV. The associated particle method was employed to determine the neutron flux produced by the 3H(d,n)4He reaction and a 16% Ge(Li) detector measured the activity of the neutron-irradiated samples.
