ESR dating of volcanic ash

Description
The paper concerns ESR dating of volcanic ash and mineral compounds from Japan. Using a signal from a quartz aluminium centre, at 77K, the ESR ages were determined for 6 volcanic ash layers as well as for plagioclase, feldspar and volcanic glass. Values of the concentration of uranium, thorium and potassium for the ash, and the mineral compounds, are also given. (U.K.)
