Nowadays, remediation of soils contaminated with hydrocarbons is environmentally important, and among restoration techniques, bioremediation has proven to be an economical and ecologically viable technique. In many cases, bioremediation involves the application of microbial bio surfactants, with excellent results in improved bioavailability and biodegradation. (Author)
