Design features of earth mounded concrete bunkers for LLRW (low-level radioactive waste) disposal
Description
Ebasco Services Incorporated contracted with the Department of Energy to perform a study of the Earth Mounded Concrete Bunker (EMCB) concept for a low-level radioactive waste facility. The objective of the EMCB study is to provide a technical safety analysis of an EMCB disposal facility. The facility is designed to provide reasonable assurance that the NRC performance objectives in 10 CFR 61 Subpart C can be met. The facility design, cost, and disposal concept is discussed along with general description of the site
